High School Hockey in Saint Louis, MO is Club and while the teams use the names of the high schools with which they are affiliated, there is no oversight of the sport by the High School or the Missouri State High School Athletics Association. There are four conferences, the schools and their conferences are listed below. An association called Mid-States Hockey runs the league and a year end championship that divides the teams into three divisions relegation style. Top teams in one division, middle in one, lower in one. There are three champions of each division’s tournament. This differs from the Missouri State High School Athletics Association system where play is based upon the size of the school. In Mid-States Hockey it is based upon the results of the team. A small school can play a large school for the top division championship.
Teams often do not have traditional web sites, they are often on twitter, facebook, or other social media sites. If you have a child that is interested, you or they can usually find a team contact by searching for the school name and hockey then following the link to the correct social media site.
